This project involved designing a renovation to a 5 room cottage into a warm, large space.  The exterior look was changed extensively, as pictured, by designing a 450 square foot addition and porches/decks, changing windows, doors and siding.

 

 The interior was opened up into one large space, consisting of kitchen, living room, dining area, mud room and half bath.  Upgrades to insulation and heating system added to energy efficiency.  Interior finish utilizes warm wood, custom woodwork, i.e. curved “ships” beams and natural wood flooring.  “A very Cape Cod look with Scandinavian influences” as a nearby neighbor described.
